I'm going to start some London rants, I guess you could call me the whinging Aussie in London! Why am I here again? Summer time coming on in Sydney...hmmm
Hmmm now that thing that is kind of like a train but isn't...the TUBE!!!! There are some good points to the tube riding experience. Most of the time it is underground so therefore you don't get have people yapping on their phones the whole trip. There is a stop just about everywhere. It is always hot down there (I have not been here for winter yet but so far it's always at least 40 degrees). That whole GAP thing they go on about...there is no GAP! There is one every few minutes - unless stuck in tunnel or black out or...leaves on the tracks. And... everyone catches the tube!!! Well Almost, you could always take the bus!
But why tube it when you can walk the 200 metres to where you are going. Although the distance thing in London freaks me out. I keep thinking that you can just walk most places, like say Sydney. But when getting in a cab late at night you suddenly realise how bloody huge London is! You are driven for like 20 minutes when you could have sworn you were just around the corner.
