![]() What a weekend just passed, Chelly's birthday extravaganza I tell ya! Friday night I headed over to Sylvain's place to help him load his decks into the taxi so he could do some spinning at Chelly's before we headed out and for the planned recovery Saturday morning. From Chelly's we headed to Fabric where a mate of mine had gotten us a couple of free passes in and most of all the CAMERA pass for Sylv! Good lord did he love it! But to his credit took some amazing photos. Link here to photo goodness! Anyway, Saturday morning saw us all back at Chellys where we sat around and chatted about life the universe and everything, over and over and over and...you get the picture. Finally Serena kicks us out to watch the Rugby at the walkie, must say an awesome game indeed! We catch up with the others after the game at a pub down the road, down a few more then we split, Jo, Serena to Spice Island, Sylv and I back to his to drop his gear off then to the most weirdest pub I have been to in ages, so going back there! Finally meeting Jo and S back at ours for a night of solid drinking, culminating in Sylvain heading to a day club, me falling asleep in the bath and well that was about it! Whoo Hoo! Thanks all for an amazing weekend! Love ya's all! Monday, November 07, 2005
![]() Well we had an awesome weekend in Stockholm, getting up at 4:30am taxi to Liverpool St, Stansted Express to Stansted, plane to Skavsta, bus to Stockholm. PHEW! We arrived in Stockholm at about 2pm. Wandered around, had some lunch and did some touristy things, found out where to drink the best cider, then called my friend Pernilla who invited us for diner. The photo of me looking terrible is acuse I was so dam tired I could not keep my eyes open. The joys of getting old! We stayed on the Chapman, a hostel boat kinda thing, very cool indeed. Sunday, we got up early and headed for a boat tour through the canals. Ahh Awesome, I think a Swedish Summer house might be in order. ![]() Then shopping and eating a traditional Swedish meal. hehe We had no idea what we were ordering and Serena got mine and I hers. All up a great weekend, always nice to get out of London for a bit. Made extra hard by the fact that Thursday night we got 4 hours sleep and the same again Friday night. ![]() Thursday night, Turkish dinner for Yuri's Sister, Vinka in Angel. Awesome meal, then to the Walkie for a bit of a boogie. The highlight was me accidentally activating the emergency escape pod in the bus. The alarm went off and the bus pulled over, the driver came over and reset the alarm. Sorry dude! Thursday, October 27, 2005
![]() We all knew it wasn't going to take long, so here it is....Brent's whinge! Tesco's (world domination crush the little guy - supermarket) were supposed to deliver our groceries last night. I get a call, 10 minutes before they are due, the driver has called in sick. Now, surely, firstly, wouldn't you have a back up driver? I mean Tescos must deliver to a shit load of places eh! So the lady (from our local Tescos) calls up and says, sorry driver sick, I'll transfer you to our Dover office to arrange a new time. I then wait on hold for 10 minutes while they try and connect me. Then tell me there is only one slot and costs an extra £1 ARGH. Ok, rant finished. I feel better now. Other than that an uneventful night. Ok cool photo time :-) From Mark's Engagement Party! Wednesday, October 26, 2005
![]() Serena, Jayne, Rob and me went and saw the Kaiser Chiefs last night, awesome English band :-) great night at the old Brixton Academy. As someone mentioned last night I don't think there would be much in Brixton if there was no Academy. We managed to just miss some sort of gang warfare going on across the street, well S & J most likely would have wandered through the middle unscathed and un-noticing. Dining at one of Brixton's more exclusive restaurants, Super Noodles, where the total meal come to £6 each including a larger. Tuesday, October 25, 2005
GOLD! I love it! BRITISH banks are banning piggy banks because they may offend some Muslims. SMH Goodness
Well, quite a weekend, Lynda returned from Italy so we had a few drinks then headed out to Underworld in Camdem for a bit of a boggie. Then Serena, Lynda, Yuri and me came back to ours and played Trivial Pursuit DVD version, what a cack! The evening saw Terry's Monopoly pub crawl. Argh the joy, that should explain why we watched dvd's all day Sunday :-) ![]() Tuesday, September 20, 2005

I'm going to start some London rants, I guess you could call me the whinging Aussie in London! Why am I here again? Summer time coming on in Sydney...hmmm Hmmm now that thing that is kind of like a train but isn't...the TUBE!!!! There are some good points to the tube riding experience. Most of the time it is underground so therefore you don't get have people yapping on their phones the whole trip. There is a stop just about everywhere. It is always hot down there (I have not been here for winter yet but so far it's always at least 40 degrees). That whole GAP thing they go on about...there is no GAP! There is one every few minutes - unless stuck in tunnel or black out or...leaves on the tracks. And... everyone catches the tube!!! Well Almost, you could always take the bus! But why tube it when you can walk the 200 metres to where you are going. Although the distance thing in London freaks me out. I keep thinking that you can just walk most places, like say Sydney. But when getting in a cab late at night you suddenly realise how bloody huge London is! You are driven for like 20 minutes when you could have sworn you were just around the corner. GOLD!!! I seriously forgot how hard it is to answer phones and take messages. Probably harder because I really want to answer the questions that are being asked by the other end, but alas I am just a admin temp :-) So how the heck would I know what the ratio on the loan to equity stock converstion is? Tomorrow I get to sit in a really really hot office by myself all day. GOLD!!! Not!!! So driving me nuts, I already did the staionary cabinet, tomorrow will start on the office filing and re-doing their website. I suppose I really need to start looking harder for a place to live. It is starting to get darker earlier here and it rained today...I'm starting to get gimpses of things to come....hmm Summer in Sydney....vs winter in London. Wednesday, August 27, 2003
Hopefully I will be able to update from work. I will be general duties person for Eurasia Mining Company. Cool! They are a a precious Metals exploration and development company, sourcing from Russia from what I can determine. Should be fun!!!!!!
Last weekend we went to Amsterdam. I really love the Netherlands, I think I might need to make another trip over there sometime soon, might start looking for work there. You never know. Why are Dutch people so nice?
Finally an update, yes the travel updates that were going to occur, never happened. Ho Hum! I am currently in London, looking for work and a place to live, this seems to be the standard hobby of mine since I have arrived. I have had a couple of odd jobs since arriving here, one was moving beds into hotels for a few days. I managed to check out some of the cool hotels in london :-). I start temping work tomorrow at the huge rate of 8 quid per hour. Bring it on I say :-P I am the adim/receptionist etc for a minning company. Excellent! I will endeavour to update this site a little more often, like at least once a month :-) Wednesday, April 02, 2003
OK, Very quick update. Malaysia, was great, people nice, and damn warm. Very odd how people can be just standing around, everywhere you look, there are people standing around. KInda funny really. I must admit any place that has BBQ Curry and Sour Cream flavoured Twisties has got to be good. Vienna was nice and pleasent, nothing really exciting going on here, pretty much the same as it has alway been I think. Lots of buildings to look at! But also plenty of Germans.... Salzburg allowed us to unwind a lot, people friendly and their Kraiserkeiners even better! After managing to get a bus and train and bus again to Salzburg, Lonely Planet eat your heart out!!!! Today was spent trudging through the rain with back packs on to the Wombat Hostel in Vienna. NIce...go halfway around the world for a taste of Aussies. STRUTH! Time is almost up, more updates soon! I promise. Sunday, March 23, 2003
